Mike Connolly grew up on the East Coast and has spent the last 30 years traveling the near-shore and off-shore waters of the US Atlantic/Pacific, Caribbean, Central America, Australia and the Indo-Pacific islands. After sailing, diving and surfing the mid-Atlantic he built a nationally recognized sales agency in the Outdoor and Action-Sporting Goods industry.  Many of his clients were seeking his experience in the water-sports business.  Customers like Disney and the Navy/Marines to vendors like Oakley, Helly Hansen, Rainbow Sandals,  Southern Tide, and Billabong - -  all respected his agency to guide their business.  Spending so much time on and in the water was a natural flow, and ProWire Marine business developed.

In 1996 Mike moved to Wrightsville Beach and started in the marine industry.  Mike holds a NAUI mix-gas/wreck certification , National instructors license for Sailing, holds a level II freediving certification along with a USCG Captains OUVP license.  He has been running charters for family fishing / sport fishing and advanced free divers looking for intense bluewater hunting.

After a few years the ProWire services expanded to include installs and repairs of all electrical equipment: batteries, battery isolaters, chargers and switches. Installing Chart-plotters and Transducers Lights, underwater lights, outlets. Replacing various pumps: water pumps, bilge pumps, baitwell pumps, washdown pumps, shower sump pumps and macerator pumps. Shore power (inlet and breakers).

Today Capt. Mike and his team offer more services to the Southeastern North Carolina area (Jacksonville, Topsail, Wilmington, Southport, Holden and Sunset) - - boat deliveries, outfitting and custom fiberglass work, audio installations, transportation, hurricane hall-outs and storage.  They offer classes to help new boat owner become more comfortable on the water in their own boat.  The marine environment is constantly changing with technology - "in evolution and growth, and expanding our market we value advancing in our business and will maintain core values."
